Arthur Sagi

Arthur Sagi 71 , of Saxonburg PA died at his home on Tuesday March 27, 2018.

He was born May 18, 1946 in Pittsburgh. Son of Arthur and Evelyn Sagi and step-son of Edmund Sagi.

Art (better known as Poppy) worked for Bessemer Railroad for many year at the Homestead Works Plant. He also drove truck for various companies until his retirement in 2012.

Art served as a Marine during the Vietnam War he was a sharpshooter and artillery specialist 1966-1968.

He was a car enthusiast so proud of his 1970 GTO that he had for over 38 years.

What can I say about Art? He knew everything… no he really did and had a grand story to back up his knowledge of all things. I would like to apologize to everyone doing their Google searches and not getting any answers. I am sure they are actively looking for the next gal or guy who knows everything. Good Luck.

Most importantly Poppy loved us his family fiercely and reminded us daily how awesome he truly was. We knew without a doubt we were loved. I hope you finally get your black raspberry pie and tell Meister we all say Hi.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years Sharon Sagi and his doggies Dexter and Fidget. 2 daughters Jenna (Dan) Buechel and Tavia Lynch, grandbabies (The Beanpickers) Justin (Nicole), Casey, Abby, Maggie, Nathan, (The Boober Babies) Maliea, Darrah, Zane, and Grace. 2 sisters Cindy (David) Smith and Sandy (Bill) Wertz.

Friends will be received on Monday, April 2 from 2-4 & 6-8 at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc. Saxonburg, PA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 3 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Doug Dorsey officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
