Daniel P. Collings, Sr., 79 of Tarentum passed away on February 24, 2017 at Platinum Ridge Center, Natrona Heights.

Born September 7, 1937 in Brackenridge, he was the son of the late Charles "Willie" Collings and Mary Elizabeth (Laughlin) Collings.

He worked as a mover for Weleski Transfer for over 35 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart-St. Peter in Tarentum. Dan loved to watch NASCAR and football.

Surviving are his loving wife, Edna (Young) Collings, who he married June 24, 1967, sons, Daniel (Billie Jo Soloman) Collings, Jr. of Natrona Heights, David Collings of Tarentum, and Dennis (Carrie Welling) Collings of Tarentum, 2 grandchildren; Janie Lynn Collings of Sarver and Zachary Collings of Sarver, sister, Laura Jane Kowalski of Brackenridge, and step grandchildren, Abi Welling of Tarentum, and Lexi Welling of Tarentum.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Catherine Burtner and a brother, Charles "Bill" Collings.

There will be no visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
