Donald L. Hoener, 91 of Cabot, formerly of Quincy, IL passed away on November 18, 2016 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born June 21, 1925 in Quincy, IL, he was the son of the late Gilbert Hoener and Flora (Hagemann) Hoener.

Donald was a US Army veteran, serving in WWII and was a Purple Heart recipient. He worked as a dealer selection manager for Burrough Corporation. He was a member of the Ascension of Christ Lutheran Church in Beverly Hills, Michigan.

Surviving are brother, Kenneth (Charlotte) Hoener of Cabot, nieces and nephews, Todd (Joanne) Hoener of Plum, Scott (Kathy) Hoener of Plum, Sharon (Al) Klug, Patricia (Tom) Savage of Milwaukee, WI, and Greg (Michelle) Christiensen of Michigan, and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Dolores M. Christensen.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg, PA, with Rev. Roger Nuerge officiating.

Interment will follow in Wisconsin Memorial Park., Milwalkee, WI.
