Hilbert Preston "Hib" Smith, 91 of Sarver passed away on April 29, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born October 10, 1924 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Edgar Preston Smith and Mary Ann (Brittner) Smith.

He was the owner and operator of Smitty's Landscaping. Hib enjoyed making beaded jewelry, selling under the name "Cherokee Hibb". He enjoyed going to Indian Pow Wow's and selling his merchandise.

Surviving are his loving wife of over 60 years, Patricia (Chisnell) Smith, daughters, Patricia (Barry) Blackburn of Sarver and Debbie (Rick) Hayes of Sarver, 6 grandchildren; Crystal (Bud) Stroup, Tiffany (Ed) Pemper, Clinton Hayes, Dallas Hayes, Travis Hayes and Emily (Evan Holben) Hayes, 1 great grandchild on the way, a sister, Mildred Haney of Oakmont, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, including Kay Mainhart and Diane Vargo, who Hib loved as if they were his own daughters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

A private family visitation will be held at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg.

Interment will be held in Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
