Ilene E. Thompson, 70, of Butler passed away and went to Heaven on October 8, 2017 to be with her husband Fritz and her parents.

Born September 27, 1947 in Butler, she was the daughter of Daniel P. Heasley and Edna A. Shrader Heasley.

Ilene graduated from Knoch High School in 1965 and was retired from Saxony Health Center where she worked as a housekeeper for many years.

Our mom was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister & aunt who tried her best to help anyone she could in any way. She enjoyed her flower gardening and bird watching with her four legged granddaughter Zoe and taking care of her other four legged grandchildren. They all loved her so much, as well. Mom's favorite time of the year was Christmas. She loved to decorate and listen to Chistmas songs. She will be sadly missed by all.

Surviving are her children, Dan (Jackie) Thompson of Butler, April Thompson of Butler, Amy Thompson of Butler and Lori Thompson of Butler, 2 step daughters, Ida Hague, Helen Johnson, and their families, her brothers, Cecil (Lil) Heasley of Butler, Larry (Cathy) Heasley of Butler, Howard Heasley of Butler, Dan Heasley of Butler and Eugene Heasley of Butler, her sister, Sally (Jim) Peiffer of Butler, 2 grandchildren Heather and Patrick and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Fredrick Thompson

Friends will be received at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA on Wednesday from 6-8 pm and also Thursday from 9-11 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11:00 am with Rev. David Patton officiating.

Interment will follow in the Summit Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home.
