Joseph E. Coddington, 92,,of Saxonburg, passed away at home on May 15. He was born on September 10th, 1924 in Morgantown, WV. His parents were Joseph and Nell Coddington. He was a Marine who served in the Asiatic theater during WWII. After the war he graduated from West Virginia University. He went on to start his own business and worked in the coal, oil and gas industry for over 60 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, a son, Joseph, and a brother Thomas. He is survived by his brother Kent Coddington of Fairmont, WV, his sister Doris Harner of Elkins WV, a daughter, Carole (Clark) Harvey of Surf City, NC, grandson Ty (Beyhan) Harvey and great granddaughter Leyla of Raleigh, NC, granddaughter Bobbi (Larry) Byers of Butler and great grandson Randon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no service. The family asks that memorial donations be made to the South Butler Community Library PO Box 454 Saxonburg, PA 16056.
