Paul Michael Chovanec, 63 of Butler, formerly of Stanton Heights, Pittsburgh, passed away on September 12, 2017 at the Ferraro Personal Care Home.

Born November 8, 1953 in Pittsburgh, he was the loving son of the late Ernie Chovanec and Irene Suchin Chovanec.

Paul was a US Army Veteran, having served during Vietnam. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed all sports, collected sports memorabilia and was an avid writer.  His kindness, quick wit, and sense of humor will be forever missed. 

Surviving are his brother, Mark (Darlene) Chovanec of Mt Laurel, NJ and sisters, Patti Leonardi of Rector, PA, and Sandy (Jim) Templeton of Verona, PA.
There will be no visitation. Services will be private.

Interment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
