Richard L. Hilliard, 75, of Butler passed away on August 14, 2016 at his home.

Born March 8, 1941 in Butler, PA, he was the son of William Hilliard and Bertha Stevens Hilliard.

Dick worked for H.P. Starr Lumber he was a truck driver and yard foreman retiring after 38 years of service.

He was a member of Saxonburg Golden Agers and enjoyed fishing with his long-time friend Elmer.

Surviving are 2 sons, Richard Hilliard, Jr. of Ellwood City, PA and James Hilliard of Butler, 4 daughters, Emma (Don) Scott of Butler, Tina Nellis of Evans City, Debbie Schoentag of Butler and Deritha (Bob) Kaiser of Butler, 3 step-sons, Paul (Donna) Vogel of Zelienople, John Vogel of Saxonburg and Earl Vogel of Ellwood City, 2 step-daughters, Jean (John) White of Butler and Rebecca (John) Howell of Florida, his brother, Robert Hilliard of Butler, 1 sister, Shirley Ealy of Butler, 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margaret Hickey Hilliard on February 23, 2014, 3 sisters and 7 brothers.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, from 2-4 & 6-8 at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Jonathan West officiating.

Interment will follow in Butler County  Memorial Park.
