Richard P. Traggiai

Richard P. "Ham" Traggiai, 81 of Cabot passed away with his family by his side on July 16, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born July 8, 1935 in Cabot, PA, he was the son of the late Americo Traggiai and Nora (Paganelli) Traggiai.

He was a US Army veteran. Richard was a graduate of Winfield Clinton High School in 1954. He retired after 40 years from Moonlight Mushroom Farm and also retired from Penn United Technology. Richard was a lifetime member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. He was a member of the Cabot A & R bowling league and the Saxonburg V.F.C. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Richard enjoyed gardening, metal detecting, woodworking, and attending his grandchildren's activities.

Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Eleanor (Ekas) Traggiai, who he married May 20, 1961, son, Norman (Becki) Traggiai of Sarver, daughter, Gaylene Traggiai of Cabot, granddaughter, Monica Traggiai, grandson, Garrett Traggiai, brothers, Regis (Betty Jo) Traggiai of Cabot and Robert (Irene) Traggiai of Cabot, sister, Rena (Jack) Minteer of East Butler, sister in law, Sandra Traggiai of West Sunbury, and multiple nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Traggiai and sister and brother in law, Rita and Lou Negley.

Friends will be received on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 10:00 am at the St. Joseph R. C. Church, 315 Stoney Hollow Road, Cabot.

Interment will follow in Buffalo Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
