Sending loving thoughts and prayers for comfort, strength and wisdom for you, along with rejoicing that Rol is in the presence of his Heavenly Father and Savior. He's walking on the streets of gold beside the streams of living water. Rol was a gracious, humble and wise man and my life is better as a result of knowing him. I am so very grateful for the times he and I got to spend together. This verse reminds me of him.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
- Jeremiah 17:7 - 8
Praise be to God.

Awww - I know this was anticipated but still so very hard to say goodbye to our parents, whether they had a long life or not so long. I only met Rol once and he struck me as a kind and gentle man. I know he raised a very fine family who all loved him and his lovely wife, Kathryn. May he rest in peace. My heartfelt sympathy to your family and friends who all loved this man.
