Warren R. Carnahan, 89, of Sarver, passed away on August 11, 2016 at Elmcroft of Saxonburg.

Born October 26, 1926 in New Kensington, PA, he was the son of Ralph Carnahan and Mildred Ross Carnahan.

Warren served in the US Navy during WWII, while in the navy, he was a boxer.

Warren worked as a laborer for PPG in Creighton retiring in 1988 after 45 years. He loved horses, football, baseball, boxing, reading military history and playing the guitar.

Surviving are his son, Donald (Susan) Carnahan of Sarver, 4 daughters, Kathy (William) Molnar of Kittanning, Susan (Michael) Salsgiver of Gainesville, FL, Ruth (Terry) Lyons of Bailey, CO and Cindy Tudor of Mebane, NC, his sister, Gertrude Laux of Worthington, 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Cora M. Lerner Carnahan on January 10, 2013, his son Jeffrey Carnahan, his Brother, Charles Carnahan, 2 sisters, Vera Crane and Blanche Kamzalow and one half brother, Irvin Wilson.

Friends will be received on Monday, August 15, 2016, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.

Services will follow at 12:00 pm with Rev. Robert Wilson officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery.
