William J. Rome, 62 of Cabot passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at his home.

Born June 21, 1954 in Kittanning, he was the son of William S. Rome and Betty (McGrady) Rome.

Bill was a graduate of Butler High School. He worked at Moonlight Mushroom Mine and also AK Steel. He was a member of the RC Men's Club. Bill enjoyed being outdoors and doing yardwork.

Surviving are his wife, Margie (Roenigk) Rome of Sarver, his father, William S. Rome of Herman, daughter, Amy (Eduardo) Carbungco of Cabot, son, Stephen (Kerry) Rome of Butler, grandchildren, Brady, Emmett, and Tessa Carbungco and Rylan and Kinley Rome, sister, Betsy (John) Grassell of Florida, and a several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty McGrady

Friends will be received on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 2-6 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg.

Services will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at St. John's Cemetery in Coylesville.
