Dorothy I. Stoops, 88, of Cabot passed away on July 5, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot.

Born January 1, 1929 in Natrona Heights, PA, she was the daughter of Clair and Esther Leasure Peiffer.

Dorothy had worked as a packer for Moonlight Mushroom.

Surviving are her children, Gloria Garver of Ft. Wayne, IN, Alan (Nancy) Stoops of Sarver, Larry (Elaine) Stoops of Sarver, her brothers, Robert (Rene) Peiffer of Sarver, Donald (Pat) Peiffer of Sarver and Richard Peiffer of Kittanning, her sister, Marjorie (Bill) Geisler of Harrisville, 6 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lloyd Stoops and her brother, Delmont "Hoss" Peiffer

There will be no visitation or services.

Private interment was held in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
