Joanne Gaul, 87 of Cabot, formerly of Penn Hills passed away on September 7, 2017 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot, PA

Born August 2, 1930 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Thomas Hartnett and Myrtle Payne Hartnett.

Joanne most enjoyed working for Daniel Stern and Associates where she greatly enjoyed assisting in recruiting physicians to the Pittsburgh Area. She attended Grace Lutheran Church in Penn Hills. She enjoyed reading, word puzzles, bowling and needle point.

Surviving are husband, Louis M. Gaul whom she married September 21, 1957, 3 sons, Timothy (Maureen) Gaul of Natrona Heights, Randy (Doretta Ruzzier) Gaul of Fairfax, CA and Jeffrey Gaul of Penn Hills, 6 grandchildren, Elena, Julian, Gabriel, Connor, Avery and Evan.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Thomas Hartnett.

Friends will be received on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, from 9-11 am at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.

Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Bert Greenway officiating.

Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross.
