M. Gladys Andring Bauer-Shipley, 87 of Saxonburg passed away on April 23, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Hospice.
Born December 19, 1931 in Ekastown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edgar C. Miller and Gertrude Burrows Miller.
Gladys retired from Du Co Ceramics after 34 years from the extruding department. She was a member of Cabot United Methodist Church, O.E.S. Maqueda No. 421 - Past Matron, Women of the Moose No, 260, O.E.S. Butler # 45, Tri-State Music Association, and a life member of the Tanglewood Senior Center. Gladys enjoyed dancing and camping.
Surviving are her loving daughters, Joyce E. (Ron) Callen, of Saxonburg, Alice F. Kelley of Butler, and Karen S. (Rick) Kelley of Butler, daughter in law, Bonnie Andring of Butler, step sons, Kevin, Keith, and Kirk Bauer and James Shipley of Baden, step daughter, Kelly Bauer, sisters, Gerry Walters of Yakama, WA, and Shirley Scholl of Langhorne, PA, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Andring, three husbands, Joseph Andring, William Bauer, and James Shipley, brothers, Charles, Wilmer and Wallace Miller, and a sister, Lois Preston .
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg, PA. The Butler Chapter # 45 Order of the Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home at 7:00 pm.
Services will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Jason McQueen officiating.
Interment will follow in Buffalo Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cabot United Methodist Church, Building Fund or the Food Bank.
