Owen Joseph Williams, 89 of Butler passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Rebecca Residence at Concordia, Allison Park.
Born April 3, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late George L. Williams, Sr. and Mary Phillips Williams.
Owen was the owner of Sportman's Supply Company and Sports Shack. He was a member of the Masonic A.F.& A.M., Ohio Lodge No. 1 in Wheeling, WV, 32nd degree Scottish Rite and the Vance Presbyterian Church in Wheeling, WV. Owen was also a member of the Harrisville Deer Hunters Association, the NRA and ATA Trap Shoot Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting and coin collecting.
Surviving are his loving wife, Shirley V. (Kennedy) Williams, who he married October 25, 1949, his sons, Lawrence O. (Terry Parr) Williams of Los Angeles, CA, Grant A. (Debbie) Williams of Butler, Mark P. (Sandra) Williams of Gibsonia, and Robert L. (Kelley) Phillips of Murrietta, CA, daughter, Cheryl D. (Carolyn Cass) Williams of Harrisburg, PA, brother, George L. (Ruth) Williams, Jr. of Butler, sister, Linda A. Christopher of Butler, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy R. Williams.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
