Paul Carrozzo Obituary

Paul Phillip Carrozzo, 75 of Butler, passed away unexpectedly on July 15th while vacationing in Myrtle Beach.

Born on August 6, 1942, in McKeesport, Paul was the only child of Paul Leonard Carozzo and Gloria (LaRue) Carrozzo.

After graduating from McKeesport High School, Paul joined U.S. Steel as a journeyman electrician. Later, he joined Westinghouse and started his career in the repair of medical X-ray equipment. He then had an opportunity with CGR Thompson Medical and acquired a position in sales. After several years, he was offered a District Manager position with Toshiba America Medical Systems, where he opened their first sales office in Pittsburgh. Following his work at Toshiba, Paul took a position as an Account Executive with Siemens Medical Solutions. Paul's ability to interact and build relationships with his customers afforded him the opportunity to have a 50 year successful career. Paul was truly committed to the concept of customer satisfaction. In addition, Paul provided valuable contributions to the medical imaging community with his innovative thinking.

Paul was known for his quick mind and wit, his colorful storytelling and his affinity for cars, specifically Corvettes. Among his other interest were motorcycles, boats and innovative gadgets. He thrived on being around people and would strike up a conversation with anyone that he could; showing his true skill as a salesman. His outgoing nature will be missed.

Paul is survived by his loving, devoted wife Rebecca (Long) Carrozzo, whom he married on October 30, 1976; two children, Paul Michael Carrozzo and Cheris (Eric) Carrozzo-Miller, two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 pm and Friday from 2-8 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc. 410 W. Main St. Saxonburg, PA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Chris Marshall officiating.
