Roy C. Simpson, 76 of Butler passed away on July 7, 2017 at the Saxony Health Center.

Born August 12, 1940 in Butler, PA, he was the son of J. Raymond Simpson and Dorothy Worch Simpson.

Roy was a life long Dairy Farmer. He was inducted into the Pennsylvania Holstein Hall of Fame on March 2013. He was a supporter of the Butler County Dairy Club and enjoyed judging and showing cows. He was an expert on cows and was often called upon to answer question and offer advice.

Surviving are his children Mary Jane (Russ) Kroneberg of Butler, Gregory (Bonnie) Simpson of Butler, Sally Simpson of Ford City and Justin (Desiree) Simpson of Butler, the mother of his children, Mary Simpson of Butler, two sisters, Jean (Bob) Beyke of Felicity, OH and Ruth (Don) Barton of Butler, 10 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, John Simpson

Friends will be received on Sunday, July 9, 2017, from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.

Services will follow at 5:00 pm with Rev. Tom Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in Summit UP Church Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Holstein Club 111 Hartzell Lane, Slippery Rock, PA 16057 for the dairy scholarship fund.
