Sarah Miller Obituary

Sarah G. "Sallie" Irwin-Miller, 80, passed away on Sunday, January 28th 2018 at 7:00am surrounded by family.

At her request, no viewing or service will be held.

Lovingly known as "Memaw" to her grandchildren, Sarah was born July 29, 1937 in Mars, PA, to Floyd and Maxine Irwin. She loved roller skating, spending time with her family, being involved in her grandchildren’s activities and never hesitated to boast of their many accomplishments. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Butler.

Surviving are her loving husband of 61 years, Gerald Miller; son, Gerald W. Miller II; daughter, Heidi (Randy) Montgomery; her grandchildren Kandace Montgomery, Ashley (John) Rhodaberger, Cody (Erica) Montgomery, and Brittney (Jarod) Hesidence; and one great grandson, Easton Montgomery. Also surviving are her sisters, Nancy (William) Mathews, Janet (John) Thompson; and her many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to Saxonburg VFC Ambulance, 210 Horne Avenue, Saxonburg, PA 16056 or St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson Street, Butler PA, 16001.
