Obituary

Alan F. Schiebel, passed away on  Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the VA  Pittsburgh, H.J. Heinz Campus at the age of 74.

He was the son of the late Kenneth and Loretta Cypher Schiebel.  He was the sixth son of a family of 8 boys and one girl.

He was a proud American solider who served 35 years with the United States Army, retiring in 2004.

Alan was a good man liked and loved by all and always there to offer a helping hand. He loved his TV playing cards and being with family. He loved going to McDonald's every morning after retirement and having breakfast and coffee with his mother and father in law and friends.  He was good, honest and simple man and will be deeply missed. His earthly life may be over but his heavenly life will begin and he will be in the arms of his daughter Alaina and many loved ones who preceded him.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Richard, George, Kenneth and John Schiebel, his daughter, Alaina, who will greet him with arms opened wide, his loving mother in law, and father in law, Jacqueline J. and Donald P. Hughes.

He was the loving husband of 45 years to Joyce E. (Hughes) Schiebel,  loving daddy to Jacqueline J. (Schiebel) Hazlett and her husband Jason and proud and loving pappy to his only adored grandchild, Emma L. Hazlett, and his sister and brothers, Joan Miller, Roy (Gerry) Schiebel, and Neal Schiebel.

Services will be private.
