Alice Gertrude Jones, 87, of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025. Born in Blairsville, PA, she spent most of her life in Butler before residing in Saxonburg in her later years.
She was the daughter of the late Paul and Ruth Auen. Alice married Dwight Jones on April 18, 1958, and together they shared 67 years of marriage and raised four children. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Nagle, and two brothers, Donald “Rusty” Auen and William “Bill” Auen.
Alice is survived by her husband, Dwight Jones; her children, Rohna Harkless of Wytheville, VA, Brad Jones of Butler and Pat Jones (Megan) of Saxonburg. She was the proud grandmother of seven, McKenna, Emme, Sierra, Paul, Andrew, Sarah, and Amanda and a great-grandmother to Alivia.
Faith was a cornerstone of Alice’s life. She was a devoted member of Cabot Church, where she served faithfully as treasurer for 23 years. Her steadfast commitment to her church community reflected her deep faith and generous spirit.
Alice loved animals, especially cats and dogs, and always had a kind heart for them. She was also a wonderful cook and an excellent pie maker, and she passed those skills and traditions on to her family.
Friends and family may gather at the Cabot Church, 707 Winfield Road, Cabot, PA at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 23, 2025. A memorial service celebrating Alice’s life will follow at 11:30 with Rev. Jonathan Fehl officiating.
