Arthur Charles Faddis

Arthur Charles Faddis, age 75, died unexpectedly on January 25, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Arthur was born on March 21, 1950, in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Walter Faddis and Frances Venema Faddis, who preceded him in death.

Art was a hardworking man who spent his life serving his community through decades of dedicated work. He was employed at Phoenixville Memorial Works, BF Goodrich, Limerick Generating Station, and Baker Industries. He retired in 2015 from ArcelorMittal Steel after many years of committed service including serving in the United Steelworkers union. Committed to serving his community, Art continued working part time for East Nantmeal Township following his retirement.

Outside of work, Art had a lifelong love of all things mechanical. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, fixing whatever needed attention. One of his greatest passions was drag racing and building race cars, which he shared with his brother Robert and his son John. Art also took pride in teaching his son James the skills of building, sharing with both his sons lessons in problem-solving and hard work that will endure. Art and his wife shared a love of sports, especially cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, often enjoying games with family and friends.

Art is survived by his wife of 46 years, Louise Faddis; two sons, James (Kelly) Faddis of Great Falls, Virginia, and John (Kendra Hall) Faddis of Butler, Pennsylvania; his brother, Robert (Mary) Faddis of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania; two granddaughters, one grandson, and a granddaughter on the way.

Arthur will be remembered for his strong work ethic, mechanical skill, and willingness to lend a hand whenever needed. Memorial donations may be made to the Steelworkers Charitable and Educational Organization, 60 Boulevard of the Allies, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
