Benjamin Miner, III Obituary

 Benjamin L. Miner, III, 78 of Saxonburg passed away on  April 10, 2022 at the Butler Memorial Hospital. 
 
 Born March 29, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN, he was the son of Benjamin L. Miner, Jr.  and Fern Emma Meyer Miner.
 
Ben served in the US Marine Corps from 1963-1967, serving in Washington D.C. where he met his wife Gloria, they were married September 11, 1967 in Indianapolis, IN.    He was a member of  St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot. He was a founding member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Butler, now known as St. Luke Lutheran Church, Butler Campus.  He was active in the construction of the church.  He held various offices of the church and sang in the choir.   Ben was retired from Magnetics after 35 years, and was  a rental property owner along with his wife.   He was a partner in the Butler Bujinkan.  He was a fourth degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a third degree black belt in Ninjutsu.   He enjoyed training and instructing martial arts and was a crossword puzzle addict.  
 
 Surviving are his wife, Gloria (Maurhoff) Miner, his daughter, Deanna Lee Miner of Saxonburg, his son, Eric Benjamin (Amy Ramelli) Miner of Connoquenessing, one sister, Karen West of Greenwood, IN, two brothers, Byron (Louise) Miner of Greenwood, IN and Beryle (Linda) Miner of Greenwood, IN, and 2 grandchildren, Brett Lloyd (Carla) Miner and Colton Shane Miner.

He is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Beverly Thompson, Lillian White and Kim Tucher 
 
As per Ben's wishes all services will be private.   Burial will be in the Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
