Carl R. Hirth

 Carl R. Hirth, 91,  of Cabot, formerly of Gibsiona, passed away on  November 10, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot. 
 
 Born July 7, 1929 in West View, PA, he was the son of John H. Hirth  and Jennie R. Rohrbacher Hirth.

Carl proudly served in the US Navy during Korea on the aircraft carrier CV18 Wasp.   He worked as a Supervisor of Maintenance and construction  for Equitable Gas. 
   He was a scoutmaster  for eleven years, his troop received the highest award for conservation.
 
 Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline R. (Robinson)  Hirth, whom he married August 18, 1950,  his  son, Carl R. Hirth, Jr. of Franklin, 2  daughters, Laura (Neil) DeNunzio of Elizabeth City, NC and Andrea (Bob) Hirth of Herman, PA, his daugher-in -law, April Hirth, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.
 
 Friends will be received on Friday, November 13, 2020, from  2:00 pm - 3:30 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.  Funeral services will follow at 3:30 pm with Rev. Jack Hartman officiating.
