Carol A. Liebold, 63, of Sarver, PA, passed away surrounded by her family on November 30, 2024, at UPMC Passavant McCandless. Born August 1, 1961, in Indiana, PA, she was the daughter of Richard L. Liebold and Ellen Charles Liebold.
Carol graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. During her 30-year career, Carol worked in various roles in the Human Services field. For 24 years, she worked at Achieva, where she supervised and maintained day-to-day operations of community homes for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In the latter part of her career, she served as a Supports Coordinator, focusing on locating, coordinating, and monitoring support services for individuals. She was a fierce advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. After retiring, she worked part-time as a substitute teacher. She enjoyed this endeavor immensely.
Carol was passionate about the complex relationship between world history and current events. She was well-read and politically astute. She loved to read both nonfiction and fiction books. She was well-known for her superior baking skills and she enjoyed sharing her baked goods with people. Most of all, Carol loved being an aunt and great-aunt. She loved spending time with her nieces, great-nephew, and great-nieces. She was caring and always put other people first, especially her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her sisters, Linda Liebold of Paden City, WV, and Karen (Mark) Noah of Butler, PA; her nieces, Amanda Noah of Sarver, PA, and Chelsey (Dustin) Ziacik of Cabot, PA; her great-nephew, Makai Noah, and great nieces, Kinzey Ziacik and Ada Ziacik.
There will be no visitation or service per her request. Carol will be buried alongside her family at the Germany Lutheran Cemetery in New Florence, PA.
