Charles B. Kubit, 79, of Butler, passed away on July 17, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.
Born September 3, 1945 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Joseph Kubit and Sophie Probol Kubit.
Chuck had worked as a locksmith at Western Penitentiary and served as a combat engineer in the US Army. He was a member of Holy Sepulcher R.C. Church and the Knights of Columbus. Chuck enjoyed working in his garage, where he had the skills to fix almost anything. He was patient, kind and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. He was also a life-long lover of animals.
Surviving are his wife, Karen L. (Knauss) Kubit, whom he married July 28, 1979; his son, Charles T. (C-c) Kubit of Baltimore, MD, his daughter, Nicole (Jeffrey Linz) Kubit of Renfrew and two grandchildren, Jacob and Natalie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Bernard, Leonard and his niece Suzie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Sepulcher Church or Good Samaritan Hospice.
