Craig H. Gates

Craig Harold Gates 79, of Valencia, PA, passed away on April 23, 2026|at Alle-Kiski Select Speciality Hospital, Natrona Hts. PA. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on March 23, 1947. Craig graduated from Meadville High School in Meadville, PA in 1965 and from Edinboro State College with a BA in Chemistry in 1969. He spent over 45 years in the Industrial Coatings Industry. Craig enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family. He was a member of New Life Christian Ministries in Saxonburg, PA and The American Chemical Society.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca "Becky" Walters Gates, of 56 years and his children, son, Joshua of Pittsburgh, PA and daughter Abie Livesay and grandson's Asher and Eden Livesay, of Placerville, CO. He is also survived by his sisters, Ginny Emerson (Steve) of Vernon, CT, Lynne Fairley (Jamie) of Tolland, CT. and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Thelma (Sally) and Howard Gates.
Craig will be remembered for his integrity, his curiosity about life, and his ability to fix almost anything.   Private services were held and burial in the Westminster Cemetery in Sarver.
