Diane M. Sobot, 98 of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot, PA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 26, 2022.
Diane was born in Prague Czechoslovakia on February 7, 1924, to Bohumila and Wenceslas Tesarek.
Growing up during World War Two they experienced hardship; their mother was taken one day by the "SS." The two teenage girls spend the night on their knees in prayer and Mom came back! They then gave up everything and escaped just after the war's end before the Soviets stopped most travel. They got passage to Canada where she met her future husband in Toronto.
Diane was a devoted wife to Charles, her husband of 61 years, who predeceased her in 2016 and Mother. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, reading, and was an accomplished piano player.
She is survived by one son, Thomas (Kendra) Sobot and one grandson Ross of Saxonburg, one sister, Alice Rushforth of Havertown, PA, one niece, Wendy (Trai) Rushforth of Havertown, PA and two nephews, Alan (Anne) Rushforth of Bryn Mawr, PA and Raymond Rushforth of New Ringgold, PA.
At the request of Diane, there will be no visitation or services.
