Donald L. Heim

Donald  L. Heim, of Cabot,  passed away on December 12, 2023 at Allegheny General Hospital. 

Don was born July 7 1945 to parents Julie and Leroy Heim. 

Don was drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam. After serving he came home to start a family of strength, love, and integrity. Don worked at Pullman Standard for 18 years, then for Trinity Industries. His favorite job was working at Ambrose Farm where he loved interacting with the customers. If you had the pleasure of knowing  Don, you knew he was hard on the outside, but soft on the inside and would’ve given you the shirt off his back if needed. He loved his time with family, the beach, and sitting in his recliner watching the 5 o’clock news. He is now sitting somewhere in the sand with his toes in the water.

He is survived by his wife Linda K. (Crawford) Heim whom he married May 9, 1970,  his children Mike L. (Kate) Heim of King George, Virginia and Sheri L. (Jesse Gizienski) Heim of Saxonburg, his grandchildren, Rebecca, Brady, Brooke, Kayleigh and Jerzie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Gary.  His life will forever be remembered and humbling to those he loved.   

Friends will be received on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 5:00-7:30 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc. 

Funeral services will follow  at 7:30 with Rev. Jonathan Fehl officiating.
