Dorothy Brooks

 Dorothy Brooks, 94, of Saxonburg passed away on January 18, 2025 at Quality Life Services-Apollo. 
 
 Born August 24, 1930 in Forty Fort, PA, she was the daughter of Frank Butz and Mildred Whiteside.
 
Dorothy worked as a Registered Nurse for Allegheny General Hospital, retiring in 1987.  She then went on to work at the Saxonburg Area Library as an aide, retiring in 2010.  She was a member of Saxonburg Area Women's Club, Friends of the Library.  She enjoyed reading, Sudoku, dining out, going to the Meadows and playing cards.
 
 Surviving are her son, Gregory (Laurie) Brooks of Pittsburgh, her step-son, John Brooks of Axton, VA, three step-daughters, Frankie  (Kent) Fuller of Ft. Atkinson, WI, Rona Goupil of Gonic, NH and Marty Franz of Marshall, TX, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, John Wylie, her second husband, Albert Brooks, sister, LeeAnn Howells and her nephew, Scott Howells 
 
 Friends will be received on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 2-4 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg.
