Dorothy Lacer Kroh

 Dorothy Lacer Kroh, 99, of Cabot passed away on June 7, 2024 at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries. 
 
 Born December 22, 1924 in Evansville, IN, she was the daughter of William Lacer and Lena Splittorff Lacer.

 Dorothy grew up on a farm outside Evansville, IN and graduated from Millersburg High School in 1942.  During WWII , she worked at the Servel War Plant helping to build wings for the P-47  fighter planes.  While studying at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, she met Laird Lewis Kroh and they married on August 10, 1947.  The couple moved to Israel in 1953, where they ministered for 15 years.  In 1968, they returned to the  US, and served together in pastoral ministry in the Christian and Missionary Alliance.  Laird and Dorothy retired in 2000 and moved to Concordia Haven II in 2014.   Dorothy enjoyed sewing and needlework.  She loved her family, the Church and her Savior, Jesus Christ.
 
 Surviving are her children Laird L. (Jan) Kroh, Jr. of Canonsburg, Stephen M. (Jayne)  Kroh of Port Allegany, PA and Joanna (Don) Walborn of Mt. Dora, FL, 5 grandchildren,  Kimberly, Emily, Mark, Anthony and Joshua,  6 great-grandchildren, Abbie, Nastasja, Andrew, Camden, Peyton and Sawyer.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Laird Kroh, three brothers, Delmar Lacer, Truman Dodge and Bill Lacer and one sister, Genevieve Conner.
 
 Friends will be received on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 2-5 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.
     
 Services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, 11:00 am at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA, with Rev. Richard Jenks officiating.
 
 Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park.
