Emanuel Lazarcik, 82 of Sarver passed away in the afternoon of June 28, 2021 at the Butler Memorial Hospital of metastatic cancer.
Emanuel was born in Horna Streda, Czechoslovakia on October 26, 1938, to Josef and Maria (Markechova) Lazarcikova. As a child, Emanuel was brought up in a small rural village where farming was the way of life.
Emanuel lived a long, rich life full of love, spirituality and hard work. A devout Catholic, he regularly attended mass and had a passion for religion. Emanuel enjoyed traveling to NYC to attend prayer vigils with his family.
During his life, Emanuel worked at several jobs including Westinghouse Electric, Pullman Standard, professional autobody work, and Armco/AK Steel from where he retired after 24 years of service.
Emanuel was an avid gardener who particularly enjoyed roses, blueberries, and his fruit orchard. He loved to travel with his family; taking trips to Florida, South Carolina and Europe. Emanuel was also a fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins. But what he enjoyed most was spending time with friends and family.
Many knew Emanuel by other names such as Manny, but the names he loved best were the simple ones...Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother. He made an incredible impact on this world and many are grateful to have fond memories of their time with him and his unique charm.
Emanuel is survived by his loving wife, Henryka Lazarcik, his son, Dr. Gabriel (Emily) Lazarcik of Freeport and daughter, Stephanie (Brandon) Hughes of Butler and 4 grandchildren, Theresa and Michael Hughes and Petra and Lily Lazarcik and his brother, Jan Lazarcik of Vancouver, WA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Maria, Anna and Joseph.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. John's Church site, 668 Clearfield Road, Fenelton, with Father Ward Stakem, OFM Cap. officiating.
Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Coylesville.
