Erma Jane (Stone) Cratty, 86, of Butler, Pennsylvania, entered into the presence of her Lord on Saturday, July 11, 2026, passing peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Born on June 21, 1940 in Cooperstown, Pennsylvania, Erma lived a life rooted in faith, family, and kindness. She was a graduate of Mars High School. She was a devoted member of New Life Christian Ministries in Saxonburg where she faithfully served and built lasting friendships.
Erma will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart, quiet strength, and the love she poured into her family. She expressed her love through tending gardens, filling her home with the aroma of freshly baked treats, and creating a warm, welcoming place where family and friends always felt at home. Her life reflected the love of Christ through simple acts of compassion, generosity, and faith.
She leaves behind her loving children: Curtis Cratty, Steven (Sara) Cratty, Rhonda (John) Augustine, and Matthew Cratty (Cordelia Kane). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Cara (Grant Speigle) Augustine, Jamie (Hunter) Berkey, Jenny Cratty, Rolland Cratty, Megan Cratty, Myron Cratty, Mae Cratty, and Fionn Kane, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
Erma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Cratty; her parents, Luther and Grace Stone; and all of her siblings, Luther Stone, Richard Stone, Mary Grace Kennihan, and Olive Howlett.
Although her family mourns her passing, they rejoice in the assurance of her faith and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. They take comfort in knowing she has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” and now rests in the presence of her Savior.
Friends will be recieved Tuesday July, 14th from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Fox Funeral Home Inc. Saxonburg, PA.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday July, 15th at 10:00am at New Life Christian Ministries 139 Knoch Rd, Saxonburg PA 16056 with Pastor Chris Marshall officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Life Christian Ministries.
The family is deeply grateful for the many prayers, acts of kindness, and support shown during this time. Erma leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, hospitality and love that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
