Gary Grossman, 79 of Butler passed away on Saturday May 25, 2024 at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born September 4, 1944 in Evans City, PA, he was the son of James W. Grossman and Betty Christie Grossman.
Gary served in Vietnam in the airborne infantry, Gulf war, Desert Storm as a transportation specialist, totaling 25 years in the service. He worked at U.S. Steel and as a truck driver for Lou Negley Bottled Water. He was a member of Saxonburg Memorial Church. Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman, but above all he loved spending time with family.
Surviving are his wife, Faye Grossman of Butler, PA, sons Dean (Christine) Grossman of Troy, OH, Michael (Christine) Grossman of Saxonburg daughter, Kim (Michael) Shaw of Fairmont, WV, Brother, David (Karen) Grossman of Butler, 8 Grandchildren Brad Dennis, Chelsee (Seth) Dennis, Andrew Grossman, Shannon (Justin) McAtee, Justin (Allyson) Grossman, Ryan Grossman, Matthew (Tatum) Grossman, Emily Shaw, 2 Great Grandchildren Delilah McAtee and Waylan Grossman. And numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elana Grossman.
Friends will be received Thursday May 30th from 6-7:30pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.
A service will follow with Pastor Carmen Shullo Sr. officiating. Military honors will follow at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Saxonburg Cemetery.
