George J. Latkey, 82, of Saxonburg, passed away on August 19, 2022 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 9, 1940 in Natrona Heights, PA, he was the son of George R. Latkey and Anna V. Motosicke Latkey.
George served in the US Army Reserves. He worked as a engineer for Alcoa. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Joseph Church in Cabot. George was an avid Steeler fan and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his son, George G. Latkey of Ohio, his daughter, Valerie (Christopher) McGee of Evans City, his grandchildren, Riley, Carter and Myla McGee, Henry and Harper Latkey, two sisters, Susan (Robert) Gerdeman of Cloverdale, OH and Jeanne (Richard) Atkinson of Natrona Heights and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Susan Lynn Latkey on January 15, 2021.
Friends will be received on Sunday, August 21, 2022, from 2-4 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.
Additional visitation will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. with services to follow at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
