Jacqueline R. Pletz, 91 of Mars passed away on May 18, 2021 at the Magnolia Place of Saxonburg.
Born June 26, 1929 in Madison, WI, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Ritchie and Marlita Loge Ritchie.
Jacqueline was a graduate of Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. She worked as a chemist for the Department of Transportation. She was an active member of Susquehanna Evangelical Free Church and Eastern Star. Jacqueline enjoyed photography, reading novels, knitting circle and card club.
Surviving are her loving children, Robin D. and his wife Mary A. Pletz of Buffalo Grove Ill., Barbara G. and her husband Thomas R. McGarvey of Newville PA, Richard A. and his wife Tricia A. Pletz of Mars, PA, Craig I. (KIP) and his wife Patricia Pletz of Ephrata, PA and Brian Scott Pletz of Harrisburg, PA, 12 grandchildren; Ashley Pletz Li, Tyler Pletz, Shawna Johnson, Tiffany McGarvey, Michael Pletz, Ryan Pletz, Cody Pletz, Hailey Pletz, Hadleigh Pletz, Jessica Rhoads, Kevin Pletz, and Crystal Sivar , 8 great grandchildren; Isobel Pletz Li, Cooper Johnson, Andrew Pletz, Calvin Pletz, Gavin Rhoads, Remi Pletz, Allura Sivar, and Bly Sivar, brother, Robert Ritchie of CA, and sister, Shirley Constanza of NJ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard I. Pletz and grandsons, Anthony M. McGarvey and Matthew Vincent Pletz .
There will be no visitation. Services will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap.
