James H. Prager, Sr., 83 of Butler passed away peacefully on September 12, 2023 at his home.
Born February 24, 1940 in Shaler Twp., he was the son of Ralph J. Prager and Edna Shimpeno Prager.
Jim was a long-time dairy farmer and owner of Windy Springs Farm. He formerly was a building contractor. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sarver. Jim enjoyed playing the concertina, listening to polka music, reading and history.
Surviving are his brother, Thomas Prager of Pittsburgh, two sisters, Jean Stellitano of Pittsburgh and Donna Prager of Pittsburgh, his sister-in-law Joyce Smith Anderson of Pittsburgh, also a number of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Judith L. Prager, his son James H. Prager, Jr., one brother, Ralph Prager and one sister, Marilyn Prager.
Friends will be received on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robin Swinsburg officiating.
Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
