Janet R. Buchan

Janet Roxann Laidlaw Buchan, age 77, of Cabot passed away Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital. 

She was the beloved wife to John Michael Buchan for 57 years. 

Born on Dec. 22, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John and Hester Corbett Laidlaw. 

Janet is a graduate of Knoch High School class of 1961. Janet was employed by Paul Myer's Pickle Farm, Du-Co Ceramics, Moonlight Mushrooms, and Concordia Lutheran Ministries. She was a lifelong member of Cabot United Methodist Church. Janet found pleasure in all aspects of life, she enjoyed camping and puzzles but enjoyed spending time with family and friends above all. 

In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by her son, Michael (Tami) Buchan of Alabama; granddaughter Lauren Buchan of Alabama; one brother, Gale (Barb) Laidlaw of Saxonburg; one sister Linda Morrison of Sarver; and two sister-in-laws, Sheran Laidlaw and Violet Laidlaw. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald Laidlaw, Ronald Laidlaw, and James Laidlaw; and one sister Sally Foran. 

Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. John Gerber officiating.

Internment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
