Janet Housekeeper

 Janet  Housekeeper, 73 of Butler passed away on  January 7, 2024 after a long battle with cancer, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries. 

 Born September 4, 1950 in Pittsburgh , PA, she was the daughter of John Auther and Frances (Cowen) Auther

 Janet graduated form Pine Richland High School in 1968. She was a licensed beautician and she and her husband were owners of the Star Grill for 18 years. She liked spending her winters in Florida and she most enjoyed watching her grandchildren playing the sports they loved. She was their #1 fan.

 Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Danny Housekeeper, daughter, Nicole  (the late James) Edwards of Saxonburg, daughter, Danielle (Jeff) Mullen of Saxonburg, brother, John  Auther of Gibsonia, sister, Jill  (Mike) Smaretsky of Butler, 4 grandchildren  Kayla, Tyler, Chase, and Codi and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jeffery Auther and sister, Jackie Mimm.

 Friends will be received on Wednesday January 10, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-7:30 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc. 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg. 

A funeral service will follow at 7:30 with Rev. Jared Townley of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, officiating.
