Janis Blobner

Janis Blobner, 72, of Saxonburg, passed away on February 13, 2025. In the days leading up to her passing, she was surrounded by her loving family and friends, including a special bedside visit from her beloved horse, Storm, which brought together those she loved most in a shared sense of joy and togetherness.

Janis had a magnetic personality and was a exemplary hostess, perfecting every detail of any family get together beautifully, and lighting up the room up with her laughter. She found no greater joy than enjoying time at the barn with her granddaughters and Storm. 

She is survived by her husband, Lee, whom she married July 4, 1992, her children, Jason Miller and his wife Natalie, of Butler, Justin Miller and his wife Melissa, of Valencia, Jamie Kunchick, of Reston, VA and Matthew Blobner and his wife Lindsey of Bridgeville, and her cherished grandchildren, Jason Jr., Jeanette Miller, Alivia Miller, Joycelin Miller, Kailee Kunchick, Charlotte Miller, Hannah Miller, and Elise Miller. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jill, in 1995, and her mother, Lois, in 2005.

Friends will be received on Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 12-4 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc in Saxonburg. A blessing service will follow at 4:00 pm with Fr. Ward Stakem officiating.

Janis will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her spirit, strength, humor, and the love she gave to so many.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Storm Harbor Equestrian Center, please make checks payable to the SRU Foundation, Inc. 104 Maltby Ave. Slippery Rock, PA 16057
