John "Jack" Thompson

John V. "Jack" Thompson, 91,  of Murrells Inlet, SC, formerly of Saxonburg,  passed away on  September 19, 2021.
 
 Born June 7, 1930 in Tarentum,  he was the son of John D. Thompson  and Grace C. Vogeley Thompson.
 
Jack was a history teacher at Knoch High School.  He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Saxonburg.   While living in Saxonburg, Jack was very involved in the community, having served as Saxonburg Council President, volunteering for the Saxonburg Historical and Restoration Commission and also the Saxonburg Library.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert G. Thompson 
 
 Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 10-11 am at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg.
     
 Services will follow at 11:00  am at the funeral home with Rev. Robin Swinsburg officiating. 
 
Interment will follow in the Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
