Jonathan C. Whyel, 40 of Sarver passed away suddenly on July 29, 2023, while spending quality time with his father, brother and nephew.
Born August 16, 1982 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of Thomas Whyel and Diane Irvin Whyel.
Jon was a Woodland Hills High School graduate, where he was known as "Big Country." He worked as a carpenter for Bagdon Bottles Construction in Sarver. Jon was a business owner of Under Pressure Mobile Pressure Washing, LLC. He was of Catholic faith. Jon enjoyed working on anything with a motor, his boats, his trike, and doing anything with construction. He also enjoyed vacationing in the Outer Banks and Corolla, North Carolina. Jon was a warm hearted man who could make friends with anyone and who told everyone he loved them. Jon didn't know a stranger. He loved spending time with his wife, family and all their camp friends. He loved his dog Hazel and deeply missed his late dog, Mick.
Surviving are his loving wife who he was with for over 23 years, Loni Cronen Whyel, his parents, Thomas and Diane Whyel of Kittanning, brother, Thomas D. (Carrie) Whyel of Renfrew, mother in law, Carol (John Kopylcheck) Cronen of Brackenridge, father in law, William L. (Diane Stritzinger) Cronen of Erie, nephews and nieces, Brandon Thomas Whyel of North Huntingdon, Brooklynn Fitzgerald of Freedom, Monte Wayne Hoffman of Renfrew, Caramia Gomez of Texas, and Brianna Whyel of Renfrew, his adopted children, Damian and Taylor Barr, Rylie, Reed, Joanna, and Jackson Myros, Ben Hoss, Liam and Levi Maxwell, Stella, Gracie and little Ray Welsh, all of his river family, his canine companion, Hazel and many other extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by grandparents in law, Gale and Judy McNaughton and maternal and paternal grandparents, Norman and Elizabeth Irvin and Harry and Elizabeth Whyel.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 2- 8 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg.
Services will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
