June A. (Wetzel) Golojuh

June 17, 1935 ~ January 6, 2021 (age 85)

June A. Golojuh, 85, of Cabot, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2021 in her home with family by her side.

Her unbelievable strength and determination were incredibly amazing. Unable to sit for ten months due to cancer and a radiation wound, June’s focus on her four grandchildren gave her the drive to fight and live. She became a role model to many because of her strength, courage and faith.

June was always thinking and doing for others before herself.

Born June 17, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Edna (Jahnig) Wetzel.

June was a 1953 graduate of Winfield-Clinton High School. June worked at Du-Co Ceramics for 12 years as a sample inspector. She then was a homemaker while raising her three children and helping on their farm.

She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, and bowling. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family and attending activities of the grandchildren. She was the youngest of eleven children.

She was a member of Buffalo Presbyterian Church for 70 years. She faithfully attended and enjoyed Sunday school and a Presbyterian Women Program held at the church.

Her husband, Nicholas, of 59 years passed away on February 20, 2020. They were married on October 12, 1960.

Survived by her son, Bruce (Lisa) Golojuh of Sarver; two daughters, Debbie (Dave) Karastury of Cabot and Denise (George) Pogue of Butler; four grandchildren Derek & Melissa Karastury and Stephanie & Josh Pogue; three sisters, Alda Barr of Scottdale; Violet Wetzel of Saxonburg; her twin sister Jean Wetzel of Saxonburg and sister-in-law Maxine Wetzel of Saxonburg; many nieces and nephews.
