Kathryn Montag, 96, of Cabot passed away on May 3, 2025 at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born October 28, 1928 in Winfield Twp., she was the daughter of Victor Rummel and Edna Lang Rummel.
Kathryn had worked as a secretary for the South Butler County School District. She was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church, where she loved serving her Lord through ministries at the church. She was faithful in her Bible studies. Hospitality was her spiritual gift and ministry, she never turned away anyone in need. She enjoyed gardening, herbs, crafts and especially spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Wayne (Bambi) Montag of Henderson, NV, Gail (Steve) Healy of Manlius, NY, Eric (Debbie) Montag of Gilbert, AZ, and Curt (Sara) Montag of Castle Pines, CO: two sisters, Delores Wetzel of Cabot and Janet (Chuck) Dobson of Black Mountain, NC; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roland Montag, on April 26, 2017, and one brother, Alvin Rummel.
Friends will be received on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 4-7 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Luke Lutheran Church the with Rev. Ben Berteau and Rev. Barry Keurulainen officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery.
