Lillian D. Krehely, 89, of Volant, formerly of Saxonburg, passed away on March 29, 2025 at the Grove City Hospital.
Born October 13, 1935 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Peter Shoenmaker and Marian Buschek Shoenmaker.
Lillian worked as a Special Education Teacher in the Butler School District and at the Evans City Elementary. Lillian was very involved in the Butler County 4-H and Big Butler Fair, starting when her children were young and continuing until recently. She was affectionately known as the "Horse Show Mom". She was an avid seamstress which included doing alterations for costumes for the Knoch High School Musicals as well as countless outfits for the horse show arena. She was a member of the Grove City Womens' Club and an active supporter of the Grove City Food Pantry. Lillian had a wonderful sense of humor and was fluent in sarcasm.
Surviving are two daughters, Judith Moore of Saxonburg and Jennifer (William) Hohmann of Volant.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John M. Krehely, one sister, Marian Jefferies and her son-in-law Brian Moore.
There will be no visitation or services. Interment will be in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
