Manfred Poeppel

Manfred "Fred"  O. Poeppel, 71 of  Conneaut Lake, PA passed away on  September 27, 2023 at the UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA.
 
 Born February 11, 1952 in Goslar Germany, he was the son of Otto F.  and Irmgard J. Poeppel(Goeke).
 
 Fred immigrated to the United States with his parents in October of 1952. He worked as a chemist before changing careers into ministry. He was a minister of several churches across the United States, and a member of the  American Chemical Society.

Fred was a loving husband, brother and Father. He served so many people as a pastor at OH, PA, NY and FL churches. He loved time on the water boating with family in the summer and played softball in a winter league. He was curious, brilliant and loved people.
 
 Surviving are his loving wife Janet, of Conneaut Lake PA, sons, Kurt  (Nicole) Poeppel of Fulton, NY,  Keith  (Alison ) Poeppel of Charlottesville, VA, Scott  (Melissa ) Poeppel of Pittsburgh, and his brother, Norman (Carolyn) Poeppel of Saxonburg.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
 
 Friends will be received from Sunday, October 1, 2023, 2:00-6:00 pm  at Fox Funeral Home Inc. in Saxonburg PA. & Monday, October 2, 2023, 10:00-10:30 am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot PA.
     
 Services will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023, 10:30 am at the St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hahhanstown Road, Cabot, with Pastors Barry Keurulainen and Ben Berteau officiating.

Luncheon will follow at the church.
