Michael E. Ortmann, 71, of Cabot passed away on July 31, 2026 at the Allegheny General Hospital.
Born March 7, 1955 in Kittanning, he was the son of Robert E. Ortmann and Doris Jean Smith Ortmann.
Mike worked as a Project Engineer for AGR International and F.S. Elliott retiring in 2021. He was a member of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi Parish-St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Herman, the R.C. Men's Club and the Train Collectors Association. Mike enjoyed hunting, taking care of his yard, collecting trains, traveling, going to concerts, collecting lawn tractors, bird watching and enjoyed his puppies.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Peggy S. Ortmann; his children Oksana Ortmann of Cabot, Lena (Tyler) Abron of Saxonburg, Katie Ortmann of Penn Hills, Jonathan (Dana) Ortmann of Cabot, Nicole Cingolana of State College; two sisters, Robin L. (Carl) Wiles of Cabot and Joyce A. (Jim) Eich of Gibsonia; seven grandchildren, Marina, Amari, Keyana, Alexander, Avery, Jack and Gianna and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, with Fr. Ward Stakem officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Mary's Church.
