Michael Suhan, Jr., 83, of Cabot, passed away on June 2, 2024 at his home.
Born July 20, 1940 in Du Bois, PA, he was the son of Michael Suhan, Sr. and Elsie Koppenhaver Suhan.
Mike served in the Army reserves from 1958 to 1963. He had worked at Saxonburg Ceramics and retired in 1999 from Allegheny Ludlum Steel, where he worked as a craneman. After his retirement, he enjoyed driving cars to the auction.
Mike was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed vacations at the Outer Banks, gardening, birdwatching, hunting, fishing, telling jokes, woodworking, puzzles and spending time with his family and pets.
Surviving are his wife, Vivian Suhan, whom he married October 14, 1961, his children, Robin (Daryl) Smith of Butler, Mark (Tina) Suhan of Marwood, Michelle (Chris) Thomas of Lillilngton, NC and Scott (Jamie) Suhan of Butler, his brother, Howard (Daisy) Suhan of Natrona Heights, his sister, Dolly Bottles of Vandergrift, 8 grandchildren, Ben (Annie) Parker, Mark (Paula) Suhan, Jr., Amanda (Clayton) Holbein, Miranda (Nick Myers) Suhan, Jessica Smith, Codey Smith, Cassandra Sherman and Tyler Suhan and 14 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Joy Suhan.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, with Rev Jared Townley officiating.
