Nicholas M. Krchelich, Jr. ,89, of Saxonburg, passed away on December 11, 2024 at the Butler VA Medical Center.
Born August 19, 1935 in Annadale, PA, he was the son of Nicholas Krchelich and Pauline Montest Krchelich.
Nick served his country in the US Navy during Korea, upon returning home, he went to work at the US Steel Sintering Plant in Saxonburg as an equipment operator, until the plant closed, he then went to be a custodian for the Freeport Area School District. Nick enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, Della Mae (Hay) Krchelich, whom he married April 25, 1957, his children, Nicholas Michael (Joy) Krchelich of Saxonburg, John Paul (Sue) Krchelich of Natrona Heights, Cindy (Wesley) McCoy of Sarver, Patty (Bob) Lambing of Apollo, Tina (Scott) Scholl of Six Mile, SC, 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Paul Krchelich.
Services will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, 10:00 am at the Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Cheswick, PA, with Rev. Leslie Nolker officiating.
Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
