Noreen Lea Strain

 Noreen Lea Strain, 70, of Butler passed away on  June 22, 2026 at AHN-Wexford. 
 
 Born January 27, 1956 in Broken Bow, NE, she was the daughter of Carl  Petersen and Noreen Moore Petersen.
 
Noreen was a homemaker.   In Noreen's younger years, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  She enjoyed attending musical theater, baking, sewing and was an avid Disney enthusiast. 
 
 Surviving are her husband, Walter Strain, Jr., whom she married Jannuary 14, 1978; one son, Walter (Shayna) Strain, III of Springfield, MO; three daughters, Jessica (Anthony) Julson of Gales Ferry, CT, Sara Strain of Butler and Sally Strain of Butler; her brothers, Thomas (Jean) Petersen of Michigan, Eric (June) Petersen of Nebraska and Carl Alan (Suzanne) Petersen of Altoona; one step-brother, William (Nancy) Pavao of Massachusetts  and three grandchildren, Olivia, Flynn and Grayson.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother David.  
 
 Friends will be received on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 2-6 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.  Funeral services will follow at 6:00 pm.
      
 Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
